I am 20 years old and was in a car accident two years ago and lost the movement in my right arm, but have adapted very well with only being able to use one arm. I was wondering if anyone has ever known anyone that has had to do this and if the would be willing to talk with me about it.
Thank you.

Welcome to the forum.

I don't know anyone with your similar situation. I have read about a group that is training military personnel with disabling injuries to dive as part of their recovery and therapy. From what I read about them you should be able to adapt easily. You may need some equipment that can be worked with one hand.

My BC buckles are the only thing that I can think of that I would be difficult to operate with one hand. You might experience a bit of difficulty climbing the ladder to board a dive boat with one hand. I bet that you have become quite good at doing many things with one hand that I would have difficulty doing with two!

There is another scuba forum scubaboard.com and the have a section dedicated to divers with disabilities. Divers with Disabilities - ScubaBoard (http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/divers-disabilities/)

Good luck. You will love diving.
