That I can not say. When I went there in 1985, the closest air was Albaqureque-2 hours away. Made for a good SI I will say that. The best folks to ask would be the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce-they have actual jurisdiction and oversight for Blue Hole. In fact, if you're thinking about making the trek and diving it, you need a permit from them.

The best info on Santa Rosa: New Mexico Santa Rosa City of Lakes - Lodging Santa Rosa Lake State Park, Route 66 Era, Scuba Diving (http://www.santarosanm.org/)

Blue Hole: Santa Rosa, New Mexico : City of Lakes (http://www.santarosanm.org/scubadiving.htm) O note, the information says that fills are available.

The permit: http://www.santarosanm.org/scuba-permit-application-2009.doc

If you're thinking about the trip, it is a altitude dive at 4600' ASL. so you need to adjust accordingly. One weekends, it's the spot for students to do OW check outs and since it's only 80' dia at the surface and 130' at the bottom, it can get crowded quick. If it doe get slited, it takes only about 20 minutes to clear due to the water flow.

There has been a shop there for a long time, but I can't tell you whether it's open or not at the moment. The city is re-structuring that area for a couple years. When I stopped by this last spring, they were finishing up the combination dive shop / convention center. It wasn't opened yet, so I don't know if it's finished.

Call the city office, they should be able to help.
