I am in dilemma.

I was sold on the Veo 3.0, then I found the cheaper, smaller Geo 2.0.

Both seem to switch gases. Both are dual algorithm Which is best? Why?

I thought the same thing... Had to look it up, and yes there is a Geo 2.

After comparing the specs side by side on the oceanic website, it seems to come down to how you plan to use the computer. They both have the same MSRP and basically the same features. However, the geo SEEMS to be the size of a large wrist watch, where as the Veo 3 is a puck style and would be more at home stuck in a console.

Has anyone dived with the Geo 2.0? Thoughts?

I'm glad you brought this up... I had no idea of the new Geo... just ordered a pair for the wife and I to replace our current Geo's... :)

No difference functionality wise between the two, except I don't know if the Veo has free dive mode like the Geo... biggest difference - size of the screen and overall size... the Geo is made to be able to be worn every day as a watch (and I do), not so much with the Veo

I haven't dove with the Veo. But I do own a Geo vers 1. I have never dove with nitrox with it but loved it anyway as it functions as my watch on dive vacations as well as a dive computer. The only thing I had to learn was DO NOT DO A DIVE with it on GUAGE!!!!!! then try to switch to track your nitrogen levels. It must be out of the water for 24 hours before it will let you switch back. I did this while trying to look at my dive log. It was easy to read underwater and has the auto timer for the safety stop. time to fly and some others I never used. I have moved to an air intergrated ProPlus 3 but still use the Geo as a back up & watch. I got mine several years ago from ST and always have a new battery installed before going on a anuual trip.

I'm not sure if you free dive if it will let you switch to dive mode. Beware of this and You'll love it.
