I was just wondering what the pressure in your HP tanks are in Europe? I had heard they were like 5000 or 6000 psi or over 300 bar.

Naw, I lived in France and my fills were in 200-230 bar range.

There are 300 bar rated Cylinders which have the working pressure of 300bar. Allies and other Steel around the 240bar mark.

The same here in Australia

Most of our cylinders are 232 bar but 300 bar are available, most people use steel infact I dont know of anyone with aluminium. The difficulty is getting an air fill to 300 bar as most places only have the facility to fill to 232.

I think the main problem in the UK is not so much getting the 300 bar fill it's NOT getting a 300 bar hot fill which eventually cools to considerably less :smiley13:

200 and 232 are common in Finland. I don't think I've seen any 300 bar tanks here.

Probably the most common single cylinder in the UK (that I see anyway) is a Steel 12L 232bar (often Faber). They are usually filled to just over 200 bar.
Also plenty of people diving with single 15L 232bar or twin 10L/12L 232bar.

Alumininum tanks generally are not used much in the UK. Not really sure why.
