Took this pic in Bermuda, but have seen them in Bonaire. Can someone help me ID please?

Thanks.

Yes it does. Thank you all. I couldn't find it in any of my fish id sites. It was really bugging me.

The Paul Humann Caribbean Fish ID book is fabulous and you really should buy it. There are so many fish that you don't realize you have seen until you start looking through the book. It really does make your diving more exciting knowing what you are looking for or looking at.

Seconded about the Humann book.. But I recommend going the extra mile and getting The Reef Set by Humann. AWESOME SET. It consists of Reef Fish, Reef Creatures, and Reef Corals. Invaluable! Kind of pricey for all three, but so worth it!

There's also Reef Fish Behavior by Ned Deloach, photographed by Paul Humann :smiley20:

I believe it is a sharptail eel but I'm not sure.

Really want to get good at IDing medium and smaller reef fish... get a saltwater aquarium and really get into it. Granted it costs a small fortune (making scuba gear look down right cheap), but it does work... or get a really good book like the one mentioned above.

I actually started working on a fish ID app where you select shape, behavior, size, markings, etc but got bored and never finished it. Eh, maybe one day.

Been done, that's the same format as Paul Humans books.
