I have to say a great big Thank You:smiley20: to Joey at Scuba Toys. I ordered a piece of gear from ST a few months ago that was new to the Market and made by OMS. Well the problem was that OMS made it appear that they were ready to be sold and a few days after I ordered it OMS said it would be a week or two before they got it to ST. Joey emailed me right away and asked me if I wanted to keep it on order or cancel. I told him that I did not really "Need" it so I am in no big hurry. Well after a couple of weeks go by I emailed Joey and asked him if he had heard anything about it and he had not, but he was going to call OMS and find out what is going on. A few hours later Joey emailed me again and said that OMS is says another week or two. I think you can see where this is going. Anyway I kept pestering Joey to pester OMS about once a week or so. Last week Joey sent me another email and said that OMS is actually going to ship it to us (meaning ST). So after ordering it a few months ago I finally got it yesterday.

Joey was great in keeping me informed about what was going on with it. I think that he needs a BIG raise just for having to deal with me and OMS:smiley32:.

Thanks Joey, and everyone at ST.

Don't you just hate the way ST keeps you dangling...promising to deliver..then waiting months before the item finally arrives. And they blame the manufacturer to boot. Disgusting.

Quite often, they even have the audacity to offer a substitute item of equal or BETTER quality at no extra cost. If I wanted better, I'd have ordered BETTER and paid the difference. Man, those people...how do they stay in business?

//yeah, yeah, they do a great job. It's my LDS.
//And Joey better do a good job. Otherwise, he answers to his daddy, Joe. You don't mess with Joe.

I've had the pleasure of talking with Joey. Real nice guy. I agree. Joe and Larry need to get off their wallet and give him a raise.:smiley20:

I think that Joey is trying to emulate his Dad in how he works the shop.

There are worse examples to follow, IMO. They both do a good job.

I ordered some gear prior to my last dive trip, but was unable to pick it up for several months (for obvious reasons). Knowing my situation, both Joe AND Joey were only too happy to help me out by storing the stuff at the shop until I was able to arrange to pick it up and take it home.

ST is NOT a storage facility, but they really came through in my time of need.

Full Disclosure: I am a Divemaster through ST, and will be working classes again once the broken ankle has finally healed competely and the Docs have cleared me for Immersion Therapy...probably by May.
