Here is a smile for the day. My 3 almost 4 year old daughter started swimming classes a couple of weeks ago so she can become a "scubaer diver" like her daddy, mommy and bubba! I was going to tell ya'll about it earlier but between her lessons and Bubba's varisty football practices and football games, my life is hectic!
Anyway, she loves it and her instructor is actually a scuba instructor also who is giving me awesome tips! So wish my little fish and future "scubaer diver" good luck!

That's great! Many of the students we have that come through the dive classes and struggle either didn't swim much (if at all) as a kid and never got a chance to become comfortable in the water.

Teach her to swim this early makes water safer for her.

At a LDS in Mountain Home there is a little 3 year old who already scuba-dives in the pool with her parent's octo...you ought to see her little mask and watch her dive...I have wondered if she was in any danger but I guess not...both her parent are instructors....

Who needs luck? Clearly, being a water-baby is in their blood! Instead I wish them many years of outdoor enjoyment! Congrats on their achievements!

I gave my nephew my primary first stage on a 7' hose and he swam around me in the 3' end of the pool. He thought it was the greatest thing since the PSP.

I don't know that you can start kids swimming too early. The confidence it builds is great for their self esteem. :smiley32:

My parents had me in a water babies class when I was 6 months old. I was swimming like a fish...underwater...at a very young age. Foo could tell you how old for sure...My memory doesn't go back that far. Shocking...I know. ;)

Thanks ya'll for the comments. Hannah is as mad as a wet hen tonight. She overheard me telling my mil that we are going to Martha's Sunday for me to practice and would she mind watching Hannah. Hannah doesn't think its fair that she has to stay at home and Evan gets to go! In her 2 year old mind who cares that Evan is 17 and certified and has been for over a year. Oh well...
