I've heard alot of good things about the Riptide Zone. They even make it in Safety Orange.

Try the Scout (http://www.scubatoys.com/store/detail.asp?product_id=ZeragleScoutBCD) cheap not too many frills. I have a riptide(black) and love it not much more than the Scout

I just recieved the Riptide Zone that I had bought for my son, but I may wind up ordering me one too if I like it in the water nearly as much as I do out of the water.

FYI,... I called ST and asked them about the two Riptide models that they carry. There is a difference between the Orange Riptide and the Riptide zone "black" one. The orange Riptide is a jacket style and the zone is a back inflate model.

Zone is what I used for my training. I tried a few others, but for the price ST offers it at, and the fit of it, i had to get one! Just opend the box today. *sniffs at the smell of new toys*

Drop Larry or Joe a PM and they will be able to answer any questions ya might have about that Aeris BCD. I'm really pleased with the looks and fit of my,...."oops I mean my sons", Riptide Zone. And if your really looking to save some $$$ I've seen one BCD that ST carries thats around the $150 price range. Im pretty confidant with anything that ST sells, no matter what the price range, because those guys get nothing but praises from their customers and I dont feel they would carry any item that was crap because they really seem to care about the customers, and the customers opinions as well.

take a gander at www.scubaL.com (http://www.scubaL.com) and look at the Stratos model. But, I will add, I would feel very comfortable with anything ST sells. They stand behind their products, and want their customers satisfied.

Isnt that kinda tasteless promoting another online retailer on the Scuba Toys website?

Stingray,

What style of BCD are you looking for? If your looking at a jacket style the orange Riptide looks like a top notch bcd at a great price as well. I have a Seaquest Pro jacket style BCD for my work and I just purchased a Riptide Zone back inflate BCD for my son, but looks like I may just have to hold it hostage because I really like the feel of it. Matter of fact after adjusting the cumberbund my wife states that she likes the Zone as well. I plan on making a few dives with it next weekend and I'll post what I think of it.

Hummm,...... well,..... I would say that the Brigade would be the one that would best fit your requirements. The Riptide zone dont have pockets, BUT,.... it does have many many D rings and what I plan on doing is picking me up a couple of Nylon pouches from my local police supply shop and just slide them over the front Nylon belt of my Riptide Zone and then problem solved, and You will also find that Zone will probably be the most affordable, good quality, back inflate BCD that your gonna find anywhere or at least from any retailer that will stand behind the product. Hope my rambling helped somewhat,........

I've got an escape and like it.. easy to travel with.

If I was buying now I would get a brigade.. best bang for your buck out there imo.

I just got the Oceanic Islander (07) model on clearance. I love it out of the water, and for the price, it's got a lot of bang for the buck. Anyone know downsides to the Islander 07?
