Does anybody have any experince with foreign made tanks? I have an opportunity to get 2 steel tanks but I'm not sure if I can get them hydro'd or filled here.

The markings are;
Faber 98/0271/ 196
Aria Carica 200/PROVA 300Bar
15.0 Litri 16.0kg 01-98

Itialian I believe, not really sure if you can get them hydro'd.
They are definite HP tanks 300 bar = 4351 psi. 4500 litri = 159 cu ft. 35 pounds

About all I can give you on them. I looked online and find a lot of 15l 232 bar tanks (3364 psi and 122 cu ft.) but no 15l 300 bar tanks.

Since they need a hydro anyway, why not see if the current owner will let you take them to see is anyone will hydro them.

Call your local hydro facility.

I know some foreign tanks lack burst disks in the valves. Also what is HP in many other countries will not meet DOT specs for HP tanks.

If there is not a DOT number stamped on the crown, you will not be able to get them hydro'd for use in the US.

Sorry

Thanks all, there is no DOT designation so I guess I'll have to pass.
