I have a popped blister on my heel and plan to do some diving this weekend. I just plan to stick some moleskin over it and go on. Moleskin does ok when it is damp, but how about submerged for long periods of time?

you know you'll die if you put blood in the water

Right! Salt water there's sharks and fresh water there's pirhana perch. :smiley36:

Moleskin doesn't do well when it's wet. My recommendation would be to leave it open in the water, dry and bandaid on the surface-leaving it open to the air is also desirable. Hopefully, 2 days will make all the difference if you don't go out until Sat morning.:smiley20:

I've never had success keeping moleskin on a blistered foot while diving. The adhesive seems to wash off before the dive is over. Waterproof tape, found in the pharmacy, works for me. One of my dive buddies uses duct tape and it seems to last for several days.

Wetsuit booties should be enough to cover it while diving, anything else will probably just peel off and bunch up.

At cvs pharmacy they have advanced care blister bandages that I believe are water proof. Also if you have a tractor supply nearby you could pick up some vet wrap to keep rubbing down and keep bandages in place. the vet wrap is made by 3M and is a self adhesive tape. It is the same stuff used to wrap athletes joints for support except vet wrap is wider and comes in cool bright colors.

here are some details on vetwrap

Funniest thing I saw recently on a dive boat. Guy had blisters from his fins, so he put a bandage on then wrapped duct tape around the foot covering the band-aid. Seemed to work pretty good!

I've some large waterproof bandages before and they stayed on fairly well even after diving. Not sure what brand they were, I think they may have been something I "borrrowed" from the first aid kit at work.

I've never tried diving, but it sure doesn't stay on when you're hiking with wet feet!
