And around his gear...and around your gear...hell he's worse than a chihuahua! :smilie39: Hi Don, Happy Memorial Day!

My gear is so old, I don't have to worry about folks swiping it-except to put in museums!

For a quick fix before a trip, get a paint marker pen from a local art supply store. That will make it through most trips. waterproof tape around hoses etc is good too.

I forget what its called but for my suite and bc or anything like cloth I use this special felt pen that my LDS has.

For my fins, and mask, and lights i used a black or grey sharpie and it worked fine and is still visible 100 dives later! so I dont know where you got that info

I've used paint markers on our fins - really helps distinguish them from all the other black fins on the boat. I've also used the markers on my dry box, mask case, shears holder, weight bags. Haven't worried about my dive bag, or bc, or reg. Their all easily recognizable as mine, I haven't run into someone having all the same type stuff as mine yet.

I use one of these. I think I got it from staples or office depot. The right color sharpie works too. Black sharpie on black gear, not so much :smiley36: Have a great trip!

I use a waterproof paint I got from my LDS call ID-MY-GEAR and I also use a magic marker. Both work for me.

A knife to scratch in my initials and some sort of marker where scratching won't work. Of course, I don't scratch my tank.

Best to do it as soon as you get on the boat, the back of the boat is best so the spot can be hosed off easy after you stow your gear under your seat.

No need to be gross about it. :smiley20:

I use Trident gear marking paint (neon orange). It comes in a 1 ounce bottle and 1 ounce goes a long way. I can't remember where I got it from but it was cheap

I use this stuff:

Gear Marking Dye Piranha Dive Manufacturing (http://www.piranhadivemfg.com/category/Gear-Marking-Dye-119)

with a plastic alphabetic template I found at Michaels

I use a black sharpie on the light stuff and a white paint pen thingy I got at the dive shop on the black stuff.

I haven't labeled my gear but I'm a new diver so everything matches. You can see me coming a mile away! Also, my wife is a germ freak so she watches our stuff like a hawk.
