Congratulations on learning to dive and getting certified in cold water! If you can dive in those cold Canadian waters, you can dive anywhere. I learned to dive in the Pacific Northwest (47-53F/8-11C ) and am amazed at how some people complain about water temperatures under 70F/21C!

Keep up the cold water diving. You'll quickly develop excellent dive skills that'll put many tropical divers to shame.
