I bidded and then got out bidded on a 13cf luxfer tank. It is a 96 year tank and out of hydro. I went to 20 bucks as 20 for the tank 20 shipping and 45 hydro and fill would have me at 85 bucks in the tank. When I got outbidded I forgot about it as it was going to high and I did not really need it.

Well the other bidder pulled his bid and I am the high bidder now at 10 bucks.
SO is it worth a 75 buck investment for the tank? It is set up for nitrox but no reason why I can not just use it for an air pony. Plus we might be doing nitrox when we do our AOW anyway.

Thanks guys

I'd pay that. A new one runs over $100 in most places. I would just use it for air. I had a pony dedicated to EAN before and found it was not worth the extra expense of O2 cleaning every year during VI.

In fact, I'll give you ten bucks plus shipping if you don't want it.

Again,

dive some, then buy, how many dives have you had. Would you know how to rig a stage, trim with your doubles, get some experience.

how is adding a 13cf pony doubles???
I would either attach it with the tank strap that comes with it or sling it that way I could hand it off to a OOA diver.

If I decided I do not want it I will let you know.

ohh right now I am at 9 dives when I get back from florida I will be AOW cert and have about 21 dives. Plan on doing about 10 or 15 before we head down and that will have me at about 36.

for a used 13 (not that I'd buy it myself, but that's me) I'd go no higher than $50. it needs a hydro and vip so you're adding another $30 to the cost right there.

45 here, though at mermit they do them for 25. That why I figured 20 or so plus 20 shipping then the hydro and fill would put me at about 75 85 bucks. I would like a bigger one. The listed said 20 but I guess someone let him know it was only a 13. I figure for starting out and shallow dives it should work for now. It would give me the chance to experience the pony and let me mount it in different ways then if I end up doing deeper, wreck or one day cave I can always go bigger.
