there's an apres turkey day dive/picnic at a local diver's haven(BHB)-its a bring-a-dish/something kinda deal-i am complete stranger to EVERYONE that will be there, and of course, they will all know each other-what would YOU bring if you were me(and, yes, it does kinda suck to be me), and yes, i did check the list, thank you..

I would bring a spiral cut ham, warmed in the oven. Always popular with me.

Scubagirl J - bring the plates and napkins. And maybe forks. No one has volunteered for that yet and we will all love you for it.

BTW - I have only met a few people in person. So although we all "know" each other from the Sagas thread, many have yet to put faces to (real) names. You are no more or less a "stranger" than the rest of us.

What about beer????

Marinate the ham with root beer, covered with ground ginger snaps and a little stone ground mustard. Yummmy!

Sign up for the plates, etc now. Check the list closer to Sat to see if cups are also needed.

As far as "reeb", "mur", "eniw" or any other adult beverage, Phil Foster Park does not allow. I'm not going to say anything else about that.

EDIT: But If I were coming, I'd bring my wife's 7 layer dip. I might have to post the recipe.

Make some Deviled Eggs - alway popular and you can vary the filling with spices (I love to put curry powder in mine). Just make sure there are enough ice packs to keep the eggs cold until lunch.

If you're bringing something, post it here:
Saturday after Thanksgiving (11/27) BHB Turkey Fry - Page 4 - ScubaBoard (http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/trips-local-marketplace-florida/358290-saturday-after-thanksgiving-11-27-bhb-turkey-fry-4.html)

On page 4, you'll see some pics from last year.

AFAIK, we picked up at least 4 new trolls this year.

I have a bunch of family in, and likely won't dive unless my daughter wants to do it. But, I'll be there. (Cranberry relish, barley pops and maybe mur.)

How would you find your way back, Fella? Voodoo?

If you were to get lost and left behind out there, you could end up washing up o the public, the sand bar or Heaven forbid under somebody's dock.

The problem is that you're not a petty, small-minded person who seeks self-validation by pointing out the errors of others.

But, with hard work and dedication, you can be helped.

Or maybe end up next to a multi-million dollar luxury yacht which is crewed by the Swedish Women's Beach Volleyball team. Said team looking to be dominated by a new team captain, who is diver-experienced and ruggedly handsome.

Actually, it is unfair to review and comment on the still pic. She is hovering. An exceptionally skilled diver who would never drag anything across the bottom.

But then we all know how the flames and criticisms fly here on Scuba Toys.

Not sure if we're still on topic here but ...

Scubagirl - Totally up to you, but if you and friend want to stop by on Saturday, please feel free. You're not that far. You don't have to dive, you don't have to bring anything. It would be an opportunity to meet a lot of future DB's.

Just a thought. Either way enjoy your T-day weekend!

Wow.. what a mess a photo will make.. thank you for your kind words. Appreciate it.
Upon further reflection, I did notice that my SPG is NOT dragging.. it is inches above the sand.. too bad nobody commented on form or buoyancy skills at such a shallow depth.. I don't see any silt trail which unfortunately is common at BHB even with experienced divers..

Ahhh... but new year, new dives. clean slate. :) let's all get along, appreciate, and find the good in each of our brethren. it will make the world a better place.
