Sorry, Bigman, that song was old before he was born. Checkout Wizard of Oz with Judy Garland at you local Blockbuster.

I found IZ and his music 10 years ago in Hawaii I was so disappointed to find hat he had already died. his version of over the rainbow has been in several commercials and several tv shows too. It was in ER about the time that DR Mark Green died.
I love the music of IZ. I had all his cd's but my children have swiped them all so I guess I'll have to get another set

I also like his version of "It's a Wonderful World".

The last minute of the Rainbow video is his funeral.

Here is a little bit of useless trivia. As any surfer knows, surfing as we know it today is descended from the true sport of kings. It was the Pacific Islanders, primarily the royalty, who are responsible for it. Capt James Cook and his crew were the first to see these people "walking on water" in the mid 18th century..

The "paddle out" that you see for Iz's funeral is an ancient tradition and a tradition practiced among all modern surfers AFAIK. lthough I suppose it was more like done with dug out canoes. Last paddle out we had here was for the surfer who was killed by a shark while kite boarding.

Interestingly enough, while I was looking for some modern "paddle out" pics I came across this one on a Texas surf site!

One more piece of useless trivia: Captain James Kirk character on Star Trek is loosely based on Captain James Cook.

still, I would have never put his version of it with him. I guess I thought he wrote it since his version is the only one I have heard, well noticed, I did watch WOO but was to young to notice the song
