Who are you doing your class with?

Rox - Doing my coarse with Reggie.

Good luck Dennis. Have a safe trip and enjoy the training!

Tell Reggie hello. I bumped into him at Peacock a couple weeks back when I was down there - he was teaching an intro class. If you haven't dove the Florida Springs you are in for a treat - you will never look at Oronogo the same.

Have a great trip Dennis

I'm sure your coarse will turn out fine. Just take the rough with the smooth and it'll be plane sailing.

Should be hearing back from Dennis on the course soon....

I passed the coarse. Buoyancy was spot on, my problems I had was the reel and cavern awareness and it was a little humbling. Learn a lot and would recommend the coarse to anyone that want to improve their skills even if they don't advance above Cavern level. This is not a "give me coarse" you really do have to preform to pass.

Congrats! Where all did you get to dive at Dennis?

06-24-2011, 16:30
All I got to do was the dives for the class in Ginnie and Devils Eye. Had to get home, something about payroll on Friday and restless employees that wanted to get paid on time. They just don't understand how important diving is!!!!

Congrats that is fantastic!!!! How did you like sidemount??

06-24-2011, 18:39
I have not back mounted since June of last year. Probably the hardest skill I had to learn was clipping the tanks on, now I can lay a tank on the bottom and just swim by and grab it - clip it - reg around the neck - snap a bungee around the valve without even slowing down or coming out of trim. Cavern coarse was dream in sidemount and I think it made the coarse easier. I did the coarse in a UTD Plus and I added a Golem butt plate that I used mostly for hanging reels. It was all fresh water and used 2 AL80 with 2lbs of lead and LavaCore with a 3Mil suit on the top. Water was 72 degrees and never got cold with that LavaCore/3 Mil combo.

Congrats Dennis!!! Now we'll have to get you to the Doors.
