Navy...26 days of 100+ in a row! Is that with the heat index? We've had some 90ish days sprinkled in here in MO.

BTW, today it is supposed to drop 15 degrees from what it was yesterday and it is still in the excessive heat category.

Darn weather forecasters... I was incorrect. We've had 38 days of 100f or higher since June 1st, though, not in a row. And the 26 below 100 days have all been in the 90's. Thank God I got the new AC system in before the heat.

We Had RAIN!!!! A real gully washing, rain going sideways, lose your power for hours thunderstorm!!! It even made the weathermen change tomorrows forecast to below (maybe) 100 for the first time in two weeks,

I think what hit you Navy is now in Central MO. Woke me up this morning with heavy downpours and high winds. I'm sure I have branches down in the yard to pick up. Glad to see the rain, but it came down so hard that it probably just washed away. This ought to be nice, thick, humid, day today.

No rain here in Dallas. We're about 7 days from breaking our 1980 record of the most 100+ degree days. Yesterday, we were at 109. No change in the forecast for at least a week.

Sounds like you all are having it rough. I don't do well in heat like that myself so I understand. We have had a hot and somewhat wet July but for us hot is in the 90's. Plus it's normally a dry heat but it has been more humid then normal this year. I think heat and humidity together is the worst.

i agree, it is easy to get used to the drier air and this summer has been rough in Denver. Have been up in the mountains each weekend to get away from the heat. I hope it gets back to normal soon. Has put a huge damper on my mtn biking season, that and the rain. BR

Forecast next week shows only 99-100. Can't believe I am actually looking foward to only 100 degrees!

111 in Joplin the other day.

It is actually TERRIBLE for lake diving. We were at Beaver Lake last weekend and it was like diving in pea soup all the way down to 140 feet at the bluffs and North Dam Site. The other bad part is that it is just miserable to put on a drysuit when it is this hot. A wet suit is not much better....

Either way, the conditions at Beaver SUCKED BIG TIME.

We had a down pour last night but it was accompanied by 75 mph winds. It was quite entertaining watching all the stuff blow down the street until we saw a trashcan heading straight for my son's car. Lots of lightning too.

We finally get a reprieve here. 92f yesterday and no triple digits forecast for the next 5 days with a cool 84f for the weekend...of course it's while I'm working.
