here it is after I used PS elements

I have no info on it other than it was taken in Cozumel

I can't say for certain, not being terribly familiar with the marine life down there, but it kinda looks like a tunicate of some sort.

Not sure that it is a tunicate, by the pic it is hard to tell. Being it is from Coz, Lord only knows.

Yeah, I'm far from positive. It's just the first thing that occurred to me when I saw the picture.

Hard to say from the photo but I would guess that it is about 8-12" and looks like it is stationary given the sand on it. I would guess from the picture it is a piece of broken barrel sponge laying on the bottom.

Did they say if it was moving, changing colors or give any other observations about it that could help?

They were off to see the lizard or Coz. In the land of Coz, strange things happen.
