I am filling out my PADI folder for my OW cert and it says to attach a photo. Do I need to get the pic or does the dive shop take one? I'll probably have to call them, but curious what you guys had to do.

I always made my own. Easy to do with a cheap digital. However many dive shops have the capability and most all resorts will do it for you. Congrats. If you are lucky enough to get a good pic of yourself you can use it over and over for all your cards.

it's up to you. the instructor / dive shop can take a pic of you, they may charge you for it or you can provide a digital picture.

My shop takes them and then keeps them on file for future classes.

:smilie39:...my instructor took a picture after we completed our check out dives. I wouldn't worry about getting one done unless they say differently...

Some shops seem to take the pics and some don't. Not to hard to do yourself.

For my OW the shop did it but then for AOW they didn't. I just scanned my drivers license and cropped the pic to fit what PADI wanted. Worked just fine.
