Still learning/experimenting with mine, but this may help:
Blurfix CYD Dome filter- works wonderfully, not sure if anything else is out there but why bother. Also starting to play with this Emolux SQM6037 Close Up (+10) Lens Filter - Black (55mm) - Worldwide Free Shipping - DX (http://dx.com/p/emolux-sqm6037-close-up-10-lens-filter-black-55mm-136461) for closeups, it just screws onto the adaptor instead of the filter so is a bonus (also getting a 55mm CPL Polarising filter to try )

Battery 2 pack & charger- charger is a definite as have had problems charging battery in camera, nothing permanent but annoying.

Sandisk 32GB- battery runs out well before this will be full

As for the handle-This is what I have been playing with most, tried a adjustable .5-1 metre long one last dive, and found that the longer I made the pole the more shaky I got, although getting closer to the critters definitely makes a longer pole better (practice may be required). The other handle I have is Grenade Grip - GoPro® Hand Grip by GoPole (http://www.gopole.com/product/grenade-grip) this is the non-floaty version, definitely easier to carry than the longer one. Not sure if floaty or non-floaty would be better.

I also have dialled back the resolution to 1080 at 60 frames as I found it too difficult to download anything above that and actually can't tell the difference just on the computer screen. As for editing haven't got there yet, and won't bother till I get better!

your missing one thing. They make a moisture strip for them Its a must have for diving.

I bought a H3 Black from ST. Its sweet. No regrets except I dont get to use it much. LOL

Got my Hero 3 white edition Friday. Tried to update at home but had computer /service problems. Took it to CSSP to play with it. Didn't dive, Grandson got certified by ST. Took a bunch of videos at the park. It worked really good once I figured out the buttons. Found out at work that I can do the upgrade with no problems. Looks good to go for Mexico next month. So far no problems with it. Taken about 30 different videos.

I finnally figured out my problems trying to upgrade my hero 3. My usb hub was not up to the task, so I climbed under the desk & plugged it into the pc direct & presto it worked liked it was suspposed to. Now ready for some water in 2 1/2 weeks.
