Awww to be a teen again. OK, back to reality. Not even close anymore, but glad we do have some junior divers to continue representing the sport.

I was a junior diver when I started at age 15, but that was 20 years ago. Have a great time with it!

I agree. I turned 19 two weeks after I got certified.
You know there are NO diving forums (aside from this one) for teen/young adult divers? Google search it and all you come up with is summer camp.

I'm 14 but my dad and I share an account, we both are trying to get our courses done. My dad could be considered junior in skill. LOL

Kinda cool, I am getting certed now that I have my own income, can sign my own waivers, and have a lot more freedom. Part of my 19th b-day gift is my cert.

My naui card says JR scuba diver, as I got it issued on my 12th bday. 8 years have passed, but I've yet to update my card.

There are a number of companies out there that take you diving for 2 to 3 weeks over the summer. Great way to get advanced certifications and meet other young divers. Definitely an awesome experience.

Started almost a year ago, but I'm 19. I think you're really not going to see/ hear from too many junior divers. a majority of the diving community is people who are (no offense to anyone) older and have the financial means to fund their exploits in this sport. I mean let's face it, this stuff becomes expensive and most people who are younger than college age don't have the means to support themselves in this sport.
