We are getting ready for a cruise in February to the Caymans, Roatan, Belize and Cozumel. There has been so many horror stories about getting your passport. We decided to do ours in plenty of time. We turned all of the paperwork in on Friday 9/21 at our post office with standard processing. I can't believe this but our passports came in the mail today. Wow! That is a 12 day turn around including mailing it back to us.

I just want to say how impressed I am with the service. If any of you guys work for that department of the government I want to tell you Thank You. Great Job.

Wow! That's great. I know my sister had to wait forever and then had to go to Houston to stand in line all day (even with an appointment). I need to get mine re-newed so I will just send it off when I get back.

Thanks for the info!

We got ours done last November, less than 2 weeks we had them in hand- the guy told us from December thru most of the summer it can take up to 6 weeks, after that anywhere from 7 days up to 3 weeks. Sounds like you hit it right on time!

That's great to hear as I need to renew mine. I've heard the 12 week horror stories.

Mine too, but I ordered mine soon after the new laws took effect. Good to see they've caught up.

we applied for a passport for our 8 month old in late August and we got it back within a month and a half without paying anything extra. the official wait time is 12 weeks but i guess less people travel in the Fall.
