I was just wondering if Scubatoys could service Apexs regulators or if they can only service the brands that they sell?

Yep, more specific a XTX100. Don't care about not getting the free parts, just wondered if they are able to service it and can they get parts. I just trust them more than my local Apex dealer.

Not trying to hijack this thread, but how do you like your Apeks XTX100 ls1mtz? I just purchased an XTX50 and XTX50 octopus...it was between this and the XTX100. I couldn't see much of a difference between the two, other than cosmetically.

Just got my Apeks ATX-100 serviced by ScubaToys last week. Very quick turnaround.
Mine did not qualify for the "free parts". They charged me a very reasonable $20 for parts.

I have a XTX50 for my octo and it breathes the same as my XTX100 first stage as far as I can tell. So for the the 2nd stages, I believe they are pretty much the same. The first stage I guess just has the angeled ports and flathead design for better hose routing. I'm sorry but I can't tell you if the first stage breathes any diff because I have never got to try a DST or DS4 first stage that comes witht the XTX50. Both first stages are enviromentally sealed.

the 2nd stages are identical except for cosmetic differences. The 200, 100, and the 50 all use the same service kit. I think the 40 does too, but it doesn't have the adjustment knob.

I have the DS4/XTX50 which I think is great. I've never used a 100 or 200 1st stage, but I believe they would breath the same.

They should all breath about the same, they all use the same service kits. Any difference in breathing effort would not be noticed by the diver. If put on a machine the 100 & 200 will show a less breathing effort and better air delivery.
