I will be heading up with Grimsley Scuba Services on Nov. 3. THey are having an overnight event, including a night dive.

Considering how warm it has been, it should be a nice weekend. I plan on bringing most of the comforts of home with me so...

Cshel and I are going to be up there next weekend, 10/20 for the DUI drysuit day. Try out a drysuit for FREE!!

I would like to try that, but SWMBO is getting on me over my expenses this year already...

wetsuit, bc, tank, octo, computer, lights...

Diving has made sailing seem inexpensive.

Diving in Lake Rawlings in November.... you might want to bring your drysuit. Yes, it's been unseasonably warm here in Virginia but that is starting to change. The temperatures at night are getting in the 40s now and I suspect the water temperature at Rawlings is starting to drop !!

I have a 7 mil, and did all my training dives in 45-50 degree water. Found all the slow leaks and plugged them up. Now I stay (relatively) toasty warm.

I dove there last November. You should be OK with a 7mm and hood if you aren't prone to being cold. Have fun!

We were there last weekend. Above the thermo, it was still 70 degrees and in the upper 50's below. You will be fine at Rawlings with a 7 mil and a hood. Heck, at the Polar Plunge last year, we were comfortable. Camping can be a bit cool. Last November, we camped and awoke to find the top of the tents and ice on them. It was fun though.
