I might be in Pensacola and Cape Coral in the beginning of January for about 3-4 days.
Is the water going to be too cold to dive? I've never been to Florida.
Any good sites?? Thanks :)

Depends what you call cold? It's been a while but I think the coldest it gets is the high 50's or low 60's. Great for diving year around.

Eh, Pensacola and Cape Coral? They're 580 miles apart. Water temps then in the Pensacola area will be upper 50s to low 60s further offshore. Warmer down south around Cape Coral.

Yup, we'll be doing a road trip to visit my cousin in Cape Coral :)

Use a 7 mil or a good 5 mil, hood, decent gloves and booties. Scuba Steve is correct on the temps. Dive year around. Plenty warm

The springs in Florida are a constant 68 or 72 degrees, depending on whether you're in the panhandle or just north Florida. The visibility is almost always great, too. The issue will be the air temp. Getting in the water will be nice. Getting out...

Thanks for the help guys!
Are there any good spots in Cape Coral?

The Oriskany is pretty popular off Pensacola. I'd classify it as a "not to miss" if you are down there.

(Mind you, I've not had the chance to dive it yet, but hope to next summer).
