I'm looking at buying a fogcutter. I've spoken with other divers, but none of them have seen it used before. Is this knife a good buy or are there problems with it?

There was some discussion about it on another thread:

I have no personal experience, but the reviews were not stellar for the FogCutter. Perhaps better to get a good pair of shears.

Thanks for the reply, I guess I would be better off spending the money on a titanium knife and a set of shears.

the fogcutter does work well, little clumsy though. I agree, get a good knife and seperate shears, personally I dont like Titanium, I like stainless better.

I think that is the right call.

Check out the shears from OMS. I have them and they seem pretty bomb-proof.
