I just bought this suit and a Large Short fit 5'7" me with 16'' calfs, big guns and wide lats. It fit great right out of the box. I own Xcel, Body Glove and have tried Henderson (There hyperstretch pilled like a thousand year old pair of polyester pants! Everything velcro ate it up!) This is the suit for the average gym guy who can't get his arm guns in a suit. It stretches and has lengths that others want you to chop off on your dime. I tried on 6 other manufacturers and none came close to the fit of this suit. Try one you will love it! Bare Velocity 3/2mm with great colors not the lame duck plain of others. 9 of 10! Made in Canada!:smiley20::smiley20::smiley20:

ST just added the 5/4 Velocity to their rental fleet. I used one (how cool is it to rent a wetsuit and have to take it out of the shipping box first!) for my 6 AOW dives and loved it. Very comfortable, easy don/doff and very warm. Highly recommended.

I have the 3/2 it is a very nice suit but I'm cold natured so after a week of multiple dives I start getting cold with it but mine has about a 100 dives now so its probably losing its effectiveness I think I may try the Pinnacle Seal if I ever get to 250 posts

I have had a Bare 7mm for 2+ years now and love it. It is easier to don than my Akona 3mm.

The bare suits seem to have longer arms which is nice for knuckle draggers like myself...

I have 3 Bare suits - a 2mm shorty, 3mm Progressive, and 7mm Alpine. Love them all for there purposes. The 2mm is great for pool work with students so I don't rashes and stay warm ALL DAY. The 3mm is great for summer and at the aquarium I volunteer at. It is very comfortable and has good stretch. The 7mm (with hood) for winter. Nice and warm, good limit on water flow. If it gets real bad I can wear the 2mm over the 7mm.

Last year I bought a Bare Velocety 5/4. It's Great. I used it in Hawaii and New York. And paring it with either a hood or hooded vest makes it very versital.

I love them. Just got my third. I have a 3/2, a 5/4, and just got the 7mil Arctic with the 7mil hooded vest from ST. I have never had a problem with warmth and they fit great right out of the box. Can't wait for spring to try out the new one.

Ditto here....

Got the 5/4 and the 7/6. Great, comfortable suit and a good price.

Cheese, you're gonna love the arctic in cold water. It's nice and toasty warm all the while being fairly unrestrictive. I love mine...:smiley20:

The Bare ignite is a 2mm shorty -- is that the one you have?

I've been using for about 2 years. It's been pretty good.

Two more thumbs up for the Bare Velocity line. I love the availability of so many different sizes.

Bought the 3/2 for my trip to Fiji the frst week of October and it was perfect! Water temps off Taveuni were 77 (75 on one dive) and 78 in Beqa. This was the first time I had a wetsuit on since 1989 and it was very comfortable above and below the surface!

Am heading off to Lembeh the end of December and will be bringing it with me. Contacted the place I will be staying at to see if they rented anything warmer (will be diving multiple dives for 10 days and know I will definitely decrease in body temp) and they rent the Bare 4/5 so I will not only be a happy diver there but a warm one. :smiley32::smiley32:

Glad to hear the new suit worked out for you and even happier I will have a warm buddy to dive with. LOL

And even nicer to know that I now don't have a problem going diving in even colder waters (but definitely nothing colder that the low 70's) unlike someone else we both know!! :smilie39::smilie39::smilie39:

I have become a big Bare fan. There suits fit me better then others I have tried and that's what really matters. They have also held up well. Just had to replace my 5/4 I did get a well over 100 dives in it. Right now I have a 2/3, 5, 2 mm vest, 7mm arctic shorty and the old 5/4 that's really a 2/3 now.
