I own a 100 steel tank. Several guys in our group have quite a few AL80s and steel 120s so I am often diving with different tanks if we spend a full day at one of the lakes or quarries. Getting my BC strap adjusted to different tanks can be a hassle. Anyone have any experience with the Apollo bio lock? I'm thinking if it really works well it might be worth a few bucks to cut down on the hassle and make sure the tank is secure. Thanks.

Looks like the BioLock may not be for you (judging by that review)

You might give this latch a try:

Stainless Steel Cam Latch Tank Strap , BCDS: Men, Scubamax, Stainless Steel Cam Latch Tank Strap (http://www.scubatoys.com/store/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=ScubaMaxTankStrap)

Itd be a easier than the standard cam straps. A small pain to swtich tank sizes, but still be easier...

If your current cam straps are stiff that might what is causing the pain. If you can get a cam strap that is flexible it is allot easier to adjust. my escape has a stiff strap and a flexible one and the flexible one is a piece of cake to adjust between my steel 120's and my al 100's while the stiff one is a PITA.

I'm diving with a Seaquest Balance and the tank strap is very stiff. Thanks for the suggestion. You would think there would be something on the market like the bio lock where you could just easily adjust the strap regardless of tank size.

Actually I have tried to get them to design one that was adjustable quickly...no go... I was even willing to provide several engineering designs that would. Also no go. Not sure why. Their's would be easy to make a 7.25 to 8 inch change.

Scubapro has a design that works for that, but hate to buy their straps for my BP/W.

The new version is easily adjustable. They just ran the excess strap on the outside... just pull it kinda' tight... then screw it down.

I still think that can be done a lot better...it should be easy to go from one common size to another... and the standard on is some kind of torture device.

Note to Larry: answer PM's...

I normally do... didn't know I missed any... I'll go through them and see what you sent - or you can shoot it again...

Larry - Did I understand your post right? The new version of the bio lock is easy to adjust with different tank sizes? Thanks.

Another option might be the Mares Air Lock w/Band. $40.00
