ScubaToys Rocks............i tried everything on and all fits to a T.....i'm very happy.

you know its nice when you drop a load of cash, get your purchase and the experience was so good you know you'll never miss the money! thank you SCUBA TOYS!

All good news and good luck with your cert dives. Larry and the boys have a good gig going on. Looking forward to reading your cert. dive report.

Now you have to plan a very expensive but warm and tropical vacation. :smiley32: :smiley2:

Be ready for the cold water. vortex is kinda cold. You want at LEAST a 5 mil with gloves and hood on and you may want to rent / borrow / or steal a 7 mil. Did I say it was COLD !!!!

Oh yeah congrad on your cert dives..

Ok, Vortex isn't that cold... Then again, I have my own bear suit that I wear 24/7 365...

And, keep your feet off the bottom at Vortex and you will have a wonderful time, otherwise, you won't be able to see squat!

Sounds like you are almost ready now. Just dive, dive and dive. Oh, and give us reports of your diving.

Ive got a question....

Why train at Vortex when Morrison is right down the road and is FREE? Two days of diving, times $20 = $40 that could be saved. Just a thought... Might wanna bring that up with your instructor.

I love new things! And new gear is great- my new wetsuit just got in Wednesday, perfect timing since I leave for a trip Monday!

my cert is friday and saturday at vortex springs...... oh man, what a way to start. the air temp will be colder than the water temp. crystal clear water though and that is nice.
bring down a mesh bag after you finish those check out dives and see if you can get some of those humongous perch. you can build a fire at one of the campsites and have a grand celebration.

about the above: FIRST, you dont need to spend a lot to have a really nice carribean trip. but then again, I guess what one calls a lot is the question.
TWO: Morrison has no warm showers, no tank fill stations and no dive shop/concessions. the 25 bucks is worth it for this trip: although, there may be times in the summer when morrisons is a better choice. like if you take boat dives in the gulf on saturday and then dive morrison's on sunday to rinse your gear before heading home.
THIRD, I hate cold water. I really cant take cold water but I have been in both Morrison's and Vortex with a NeoSport 4/3 (I got from Scuba Toys as my first online purchase) and I was chilly but not really cold. I will admit though that a 5/4 would be much better and I never wear a hood or gloves. That is for cold water, 68F is really not that bad even though I much, much prefer 88F.
good luck, the check out dives are the worst dives you will ever do in your diving career. after that, you are free to explore, enjoy the dive and see the sites. no more tricks to perform. however, you should practice one or more skills on every dive.

Congrats bro! I know how excited you must be! Best of luck with your OW dives. I kinda have to agree with some others here though....you'll never have "ALL" of your gear! :smiley2:

Like others have said, you never have all your gear. That can only happen when you look in a catalog or online and can not say "That looks neat" or "I need/want that"

Blad to know you have your basic set up now.

Glad to hear you're set up. The neatest thing about having your own gear is you're configured and ready to go on the very first dive morning..no last minute hassle.
