Good silhouette shot of the shark. Whale?

Like the contrast of the sharp images of the close in fish too.

and as others have asked: Where were you?

thanks for posting this.

Its taken in an aquarium - you can see the scratches on the plexiglass if you look close..

So right Will. Didn't see them at first glance. Opened it again and there they are. Good eye.

The multiple "suns" sort of give it away also.

My guess is the Georgia Aquarium based on the OP's location...

I tend to look at images as one of the following:

1. Art... says something... means something..etc, etc.

2. Calendar/wall paper shots...

3. Critter images...

4. Snap shots.... capture a moment

Sometimes a image is several of the above.. a picture from your window, for example my be a Snap shot that is also a great wall paper image.

I think the image is interesting... but not sure what it is trying to say or where it fits. It is dramatic...but I am not sure if the subject is the small fish or the shark...

I suspect that we are looking a really short duration strobe, freezing the little fish, whle the background was a longer exporsure. I really like that technic... if it was done on purpose...

My guess would be it was taken at the Georgia Aquarium. At least that's what my pictures looked like that I took there, and you are from Georgia! Regardless it is a good pic.

sorry for the long delay...have some big projects for my classes i've needed to wrap up...yes the photo is taken at the georgia aquarium. my fiancee took it. i've always thought it was a pretty good pic for just looking up, pointing and shooting...i hope that someday i'll get to take a similar pic from underneath with no glass:) but thanks for the kind words, i just wondered what you guys thought and wanted to learn how to post a picture on here and TA-DA!

Yes it is still a nice pic. I'd be proud to take a pic like that, glass or no glass between me and my subject.

cool picture! I went to GA Aquarium recently and I was in awe. It's one of the best aquariums I've been to.
