Well, if they are not out on a page somewhere... you need to put them there. You can use the photo gallery at the top of the page here.

Then after you upload them to some gallery on the net, just right click the picture and it will give you the properties. Copy the location, then when you make your post, click on the little picture icon with the mountain that is up at the top to the right of the font choices... then just paste the web location in the pop up box... and bingo...

Follow all that?

How is an LS1 Z28 not fast? Or is that a V6 wearing Z28 logos?

nah its a z. just not as fast as I would like it. Its got a few bolt on's. Fast is relative, compared to a lot of peoples cars it is very slow.

dont know if its worth posting but like most people have said fast is relative will take pics of my car tommorow. 2005 volvo s40 t5 makes 12-14 psi of boost(turbocharged) Inline five with custome intake downpipe and exuast. Custom stereo. lowered and new pads, wheels and tires. She'll go 0-60 in about 6.5 secounds do a quarter mile in high 13's on a cold day running race fuel otherwise steady 14's all day long.

Thank you Ryan.....one of my 3 sons has a 72' Chevelle also that is really more geared to drag strip usage....as a matter of fact his engine is in my garage just waiting for him to re-assemble it...we just rebuilt his tranny....pushing those items hard at the track just seems to lead to stuff getting broken-lol.

I used to have a 2000 Z28 (first year of the fugly rims). It ran a 8.?@88mph in the 1/8 mi. I never modded it. I have a 2004 Vette now. The vette is faster, but mainly because it's lighter. I've thought of modding it, but decided it's got enough power for me.... yes, fast is relative. :) Save your money and keep the guts of the motor stock. Modded cars tend to break. :) Your car looks good, btw.

The S-Code means it is a stock 390 CI big block. This one is now a 401 CI. For you metric kind of guys, that's about 6.7 liters.

She may not look like much, but this little S40 is a rocket ship. Bone stock it must be all about the gearing and upper valvetrain in the Netherlands. A little sluggish on bottom end, but she comes alive when most have long since given up. Passing gear at a buck ten will snatch the steering wheel out of both hands if your not careful. I've seen this car pull itself through 145 effortlessly and climbing rapidly, and I do mean "rapidly". Tap it out if you got the huevos, and she'll run like that all day long.

Nice pony... I have always liked them. It might be the next car in the collection. I had to go with the type II nova first.

Right now it only puts out 350hp because the computer has the horsepower limited until the end of the break in mileage, which he has not reached yet. Then the car puts out 500 hp.

Thanks, im not sure about 1/8 mile but my car had gone a 12.4 in the quarter in Lubbock with a 12,000 Ft. DA. And yes modded cars do tend to break, learned that they hard way. :smiley19:

Racing cars makes diving seem like a cheap hobby... If you run them hard they will break but that is why you mod them isn't it? Also, on a note along those lines I'm a big fan of Pinks All Out.

It sure does. My wife would rather me buy dive gear than invest more in more car.:smiley5: Pinks is a great show. I could never hand over my title to anyone.

I thought the 07 Shelby is putting out 475hp on paper. Which is going to be around 400 rwhp on a dyno.

So you know CamaroChick had to post, even though I'm the only girl in the "Man Laws" forum. I was thrilled to see the 2 Camaros from teog and ryanh1801 - nice cars boys! Now time to show off my babies:

Here's my 2002 SS - 345 HP with dual center mount exhaust from SLP... VERY loud and fast! :grinno:
http://forum.scubatoys.com/gallery/files/1/5/2/6/2002Camaro.jpg

And a little less exciting, but it's my first Camaro... this one's a 2000, just the V6. This is my "snow car" - if you can imagine that! And I'm cracking up about the earlier comment about the fugly rims - here they are! And they are a b*tch to clean!

teog, it probably is on paper... the dealersip claims these numbers... he also is having the shelby upgrade kit put on, so who knows after that. The only real test is the dyno.

Alot of times the stated (for insurance) horsepower doesn't match the real output from the factory. This was ever so popular in the muscle era.

If I remember correctly, I believe this was also done with the '66 Shelby GT350H's which were sold to Hertz.

Grandfather had a 69 &1/2 Ford Talladega with a 428 super cobra jet in it. Because of an apparent Q in the VIN the car was uninsurable for years.

Beautiful car! I'm a huge fan of the 427 vette. Does it have the close range munci or rock crusher tranny? Always wanted to rag the !@#$ out of one of those!

68raggtop
12-23-2007, 12:49
It has the M21 close ratio for now, but I will probably swap in a M20 wide ratio to get it to launch better. The 427 has so much torque that the drop between gears won't really be a factor, where the deeper 1st gear in the wide ratio should give me a lot better 60' times. It is just as addictive as diving:fulle:
