Just got my order from Scubatoys which included BC's, Regs, computers, etc....

First a big thanks to Joe for the great deal on everything, and an equally big thanks to Todd for being such a pro, and being so helpful on the phone!!

I am under direct orders not to open the box until I get home, so please don't tell my wife I already peaked in the box....

Much to my pleasant surprise my Brigade came with the rear trim weightpockets that I didn't specifically order, another example of ST going above and beyond to satisfy a customer!!! The regs are assembled and look like they are ready to hit the water, and everything we ordered is present and accounted for....

Thanks again guys, I know we couldn't have gotten this quality of gear for the same price anywhere, ST truly is the best!!!!

I love the UPS Driver, and Scubatoys with thier shipping arangement to Canada is awesome, I paid less for overnight (actaully 16hr) shipping than I would have paid for just brokerage on their regular shipping. ScubaToys just don't raise you shipping costs to Canada OK?

<DIV>I have the same problem with my girl. It's a competition. And neither of us can order anything without first asking if the other needs or wants anything.

We purchase in tandem. One can't get a new toy without the other one getting one too. No jealousy that way.

haha... that's pretty funny. She's been wanting a new BC (the Tusa Selene) but I don't think I am going to order that anytime soon. She will have to be happy with her Eva for a little while longer. Though if she wants a new tank banger, not a problem smileys/smiley36.gif

While we were there, my Dad bought my Mom a nice diamond ring, and while she was all carried away in her 'blingness', my Dad turns to me and says, "You know what this means, don't you? It means a few more orders to be placed from Scubatoys.com!" :)

If the brown truck is Santa, then what is the white truck, the devil? That one always brings bad news, such as bills from Santa.

For delivery of Internet purchased goods that the wife "forgot" about, I find it easiest to have the item "held" at the sorting facility and brought in the house at an appropriate time when she is not paying attention (ie not home). My favorite line is.............. Oh that, It's been in the garage forever.

For a few extra bucks, we'll throw away the packaging, mail you the actual invoice and owners manual in a plain brown wrapper to an alternate address, toss a little salt water on your gear and put in an invoice that says Used Equipment Service $29.00. :smiley2:

I don't need a splash of saltwater. I already have some saltwater brewing in the garage (for the reef tank) and I haven't got to do my first OW dives yet... She would catch on.

We'll cheat and lie to protect you from wives... but we can't cheat and lie to the government. But if each parcel is under $1000 AUS, you have no duty anyway... I've had people put together a whole package, then tell me, "Oh, and this part of the order is for me - ship to my house, and the other half of the stuff... err... uh.. that's for a friend of mine. Yea.. a friend - so uh.. ship that one to my work address and I'll make sure he gets it! :smiley2:

NZ's threshold is NZ$450 (about US$337).

My last parcel came to .... NZ$448. Yay thinks me, I might escape extra customs costs. But no. They added on and converted the cost of shipping, bringing me way over the threshold.

It might be worthwhile for Aussies to split up large orders like that - but no real point here (I already worked it out!!) Any savings on customs would only get spent on the extra shipping costs!

Hide the boxes! It's nice to have a constant dive partner but the money goes half the distance.
