Yea! I would have sold the 5/4/3 in Seattle too! Nothing but a 7mm and preferrably a dry suit in the Puget Sound.

Picked up an SB-103 on E-bay for $325, including the arms, cable etc. Month later Nikon announced the recall, and I traded it in for a brand new SB-105 (retail $800 then).

Atomic Aquatic XL Split fins, $65 Brand new, in the box, delivered to my door, in my choice of color (Blue).

Same with me (posted on this in the community forum a few minutes ago), especially the deal of the month. I have a shorty wetsuit, so I can't wait for ST to move on to the next deal.

Except you know that any warrenty implied on a mail order AIR II is worthless? Scubapro doesn't sell anything mail order. And if this was from liesure Pro, any warrenty implied by them is also worthless.

I bought a Zeagle Ranger on EBAY new for $275. Used it for 2 years. Sold it on EBAY for $400. And I didn't rip anyone off or anything! It was still a good deal for that guy. Normally, I am the guy throwing $$$ out the window on scuba stuff it seems. Every once in awhile I get a break.

$500

warranty
If you save enough on a reg, it's worth paying to have it serviced. Except for a drysuit, I've never had any work done on any of my gear under warranty, and it hasn't caused me any headaches.

I didn't make out on price necessarily, but my LDS does a 12 month payment plan with no interest and no credit check. After having closed a business and absorbed $120,000 in debt, I was able to get my gear so that I could enjoy the sport whenever I got a rare day off.

I bought my Mares Kaila off a guy on another board-total with the shipping was 250 and it was brand new. I guess the guy won it in a raffle and his wife was not interested in diving.

Actually any dive shop should give you 10% off if they want to compete and get the sale. Especially on big ticket items.

But then again, I'm sure ScubaToys will give more a better deal on big ticket items also if you ask...

all you have to do is ask.... regardless of the shop.

If they don't and charge say MSRP for example, vote with your wallet, again regardless of the shop.

I have been GIVEN by strangers:
(1) Al 80 (luxfer 1992 hydro)
(2) Steel 72's (needed vis/hydro so $26 total)
20lbs of lead weight
(1) Wetsuit

At some point, I have another full set to come to me. 2 tanks, regs, wet suits weights BC's etc. No idea on age but at this point, I am hoping old. A double hose reg would be a cool addition to the collection.

My theory is once you have too much gear, it just starts multiplying on its own.

Through Scuba Toys I've picked up two Pinnacle wetsuits for less than the price of one regular priced Pinnacle. And they even threw in a dive magazine and some mints. Way to go Scuba Toys!
