Speaking of
Casu marzu (also called casu modde, casu cundhídu, or in Italian formaggio marcio) is a cheese (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheese) found in Sardinia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sardinia), Italy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italy), notable for being riddled with live insect larvae (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larva). Casu marzu means "rotten cheese" in Sardinian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sardinian_language) and is known colloquially as maggot cheese.

How about Cynar (Italy)Bitter liqueur made from artichokes. Have you ever left artichokes steaming so long that they go dry and burn the pan, then you soak it desperately to clean it, creating a vile-smelling brown liquid? Tastes, smells, and looks just like that.

Black-Gorrilla

hablano peppers?

ScubaToys Larry
07-29-2007, 14:50
I really try to avoid all hot peppers.

This one is a bit longer... The hot peppers makes me think of my wife. A Cajun... Crawfish, alligator, you name it. Well, one morning, she gets up to feed the horses, and lets me know there is a dead black bird in the horse trough. Must have fallen in and drowned while trying to take a drink. Asks me to get it out and put it in a garbage bag... so I do.

That night, I come home and she says, "I made dinner - found some cornish hens at the store. Your dinner is in the oven. I already ate."

I open the oven.. and there is a small cooked bird looking thing on the pan.

Would you eat it??

Black-Gorrilla
07-29-2007, 15:01
Larry dropping by with a story that makes me say no thanks to Cornish hens...
but only in a circumstance like that... cause other wise i'd be all over it.
is that a true story?

let me try to put a story here too....
well, i attend school at le cordon bleu, and was going trough a class called "sanitation&nutrition"
in said class.. we look at something i really like... oysters.
oysters are great fresh, but i learned that there is a chance that you can get an oyster, that is toxic, but not in a be sick kind of toxic... a toxic that makes you loose your memory, and not for just a few hours or days.. it erases your memory, and sometimes even motor skills.
that night, i came home, and my mom said... "lets go eat dinner at the beach" so off we go. i went to the bathroom when we got there, and when i came back my father had ordered a dozen oysters..
Would you eat it?
