Anyone been out there lately. Lookin to find out what vis is like. 6" to 5'- Not worth my time. 5'-15' Not worth the gas. 20+, charge the scooter and pack the rebreather! Well this time of year anyways.

Thanks,
Woody

I dunno, Woody, but I'm thinking of going up there for the Polar Bear thang January 1. My dry suit has been dry too long.

If not then, I'm looking at the January classes when the schedule comes out.

Woody: as I recall, seemed like the last reports posted on here were "decent", at least by CSSP standards. If my drysuit comes in I would love to go play, and perhaps work on some more of my stupid human tricks.
But no "where's Woody" if you are using a rebreather.
Platy: I have been wondering how you were. I guess mating season is over?????? How did that work out for you???? Maybe I will see you at the January class??

Hope you both had good Holidays.

Tom

Mating season has ended; now it's all about avoiding the paternity suits.

..Or for fun.

With luck, you will see me at the classes in January if my final negotiations for the new job work out as planned. Keep your fingers crossed, since it would free up my nights and weekends if this thing comes through. :smiley20:

How have YOU been, Tom?

Been good John. I would love to dive with you in January if things work out.

That's funny....a consistant 20ft+, very rare even at CSSP anymore even in the winter months. You might as well pack your bags and head south to Mexico or east to Florida. :)

Its been a few weeks since I was out there myself...vis was 5-12ft. then depended on your location....water temp in the mid 50's. Heck you don't need 20ft. of vis to run a scooter....the pond is pretty absent of other divers this time of the year....just 'throw' a strobe on the front (lol) and get after it!! :)

And yes the toys worked like a charm. Woody, and why have I never used a back plate and wing before? It's a must from now on, except for teaching class.

Sorry, Alan. I had been working on something for Greg W, and had a pre-senior moment.
