Flutter kick, frog kick, backwards kick, split kick, helicopter turn, ... -- there are a lot of different techniques people talk about and you can read about on the internet. How did you guys learn how to do these properly?

Is this part of one of the courses (AOW maybe?) or is this something you pick up from people you dive with and/or looking stuff up on the internet?

I learned mostly by observing and asking other divers to give me tips on the different finning techq.,,,also sharpened my finning skills while moving through technical dive courses.

This link will give you a view of some of the 'moves'.

Videos and Fundies. Pick up the Intro to Technical Diving (http://www.createspace.com/Store/ShowEStore.jsp?id=209712) DVD from 5thD-X for the best possible self-intro. There are other sources, but this is the gold standard.
