I've ran one of these before, but I didnt get all the brands on to poll. So this time I tried to list the major player's. If I missed one, Sorry.

Love my ZX-DSV Zeagle Regs!
Easy breathing and dependable.

We dive mares regs and have had good luck with them. That being said, there are countless good manufacturer's out there. Make sure you get a regulator that will meet your needs and can be serviced in your area, regardless of where you purchase it.

I dig my Apeks. They've been is some mighty cold waters and have always breathed like champs.

I tried so many regs before I bought, but am super happy with the Apeks.

I haven't been unhappy with any of the regs I've dove. As long as my expectations match what the regs are capable of, I'm pretty satisfied. That said, I loved my Poseidon Odin, but found the servicing issues to be less than satisfying. Now, I'm really happy with my AL Legend LX.

I knew Al would come up, but I only had ten spots.

07-28-2007, 21:54
I hear the legends are sweeeeet too.

:smiley20: Love mine as well.

Yup, I had the same issue with the drysuit poll, there's only so many spots and more makers than you can allow in a poll. So, you're forced to choose.

love my Apeks...breathing at 110 feet is no different than breathing on the surface. Awesome breathing reg...

I dive Atomics Z2's, even they are lower end atomics, they breath like a champ! Then again, these are the first regs I own, but definitely better than the rentals I used.

Spent the last 3 years with my beloved Oceanic Delta 3 but have gotten tired of having the 1st stage pop it's cork at the wrong time. 2 1/2 years ago my wife bought me a Tusa 130 for my birthday but she fell in love with it and snagged it back :smiley19:. So what's a guy to do:dunno:? Now I have given in and retired the Oceanic and gone the way of the Tusa 130. Love how easy it breaths, barely know it is there :jam2:.

I dive the Mares Abyss MR22 (old style). My octo is a Zeagle Envoy (I like the lever to limit free flow). On my pony bottle I have the Mares Proton metal v16.

My Aeris regs are just an old favorite of mine though I do like my Atomic too :)

Poseidon jetstreams hands down. Just waiting until xmas for the girlfriend to get me a pair of them. Smoothest breathing regs ive ever tried.

I love diving with my Mares Gear. I have 2 reg sets with a Proton Ice Extreme and Abyss for my recreational diving. Tec diving I prefer Dive Rite.

Big fan of Aqua Lungs Titain line

12-23-2007, 00:39
i really like the sherwood maximus, longer hose, underarm configurations, bullet proof, reliable, proven. I'm really looking foward to the SR1 when it gets here so i can buy it!!!!

A few others.......

You know it's hard to find a "bad" reg anymore. I chose my Zeagle Envoys because of their perfect scores in ScubaLab testing, and combined with the price, I didn't see how it could be beat. Nearly 150 dives later and I've never once wanted to buy new regs. These babies breathe as well at 133 feet as they do at 13 feet!

My excellent experiences with my Envoys, ScubaToys, and Zeagle (Thanks Scott!!), is what prompted my husband to buy Zeagles over Atomic and he's been thrilled with his choice!

I'm happy with both our Tusa RS460 regs, and prior to that rented some RS130's... been extremely pleased with all the Tusa stuff we've tried...

12-23-2007, 13:25
I love my ScubaPro MK-25/X650 but it is the only reg I have owned. It breathes so much easier than the regs I used to rent. I don't know if it is the easiest breathing reg, baut has never let me down.

12-23-2007, 14:27
Probably a better poll would be what reg do you own. Few of us picked a model that we don't us.

12-23-2007, 15:33
scubapro mk25/s600/r295

Sherwood Blizzard. Breathes great deep and cold.

Only thing I don't like about this poll is I've only tried some of the reg brands.
