Anyone know of any diving around Philly? I'm going to be moving there in about a month and was just curious if there were any opportunities to dive there or not.

Dutch Springs is the most popular lake in the area - about an hour or so away, near Allentown...basically a nice scuba park, with lots of underwater attractions: www.dutchsprings.com

and a lot of shops run charters out of Belmar, NJ.

You may want to surf over to http://www.wreckvalley.com/ for more dialog on diving in the PA/NJ/NYC/CT areas.

Thanks for the question. My folks still live in Cherry Hill, NJ outside of Philly where I was born and raised. I never thought about going home to visit my folks and go dive. I currently live in Los Angeles.

yeah...Dutch is the closest to the Philly area...a little more driving will take you to the Bainbridge Sportsmens Club (www.divebsc.com (http://www.divebsc.com)) Not quite as nice viz and attraction wise, but another choice. (and it's 20 minutes from my house so it's all I got weekly!)
