Akona AKB176 Carry-On Roller bag review

Just just back a week ago from a trip where I used by Akona Carry on roller. The bag is great and easy to manuver through the airport. Prior to purchase at Scuba Toys I had some help and we were able to pack and large Zeagle Brigade and medium Zena in the bag. On the trip I was able to pack both BCs as well as get two regulator setups and the Aeris Xr2s. It does take some effort the BC have to be 180 to each other with regs in between. The laptop sleeve is nice but not really useful for me as we usually don't carry one with us on trips (possibly subject to change). The bag is really well padded. With all of the above packed it still fit in the overhead bin really well. No problems going in or coming out.

Can you post a pic of the bag with the review?

Here the picture from scuba toys. I don't know how much it weighed we didn't put it on a scale. I'd say just from carrying it around 25 lbs??

So you basically packed 2 sets of gear minus fins/wetsuits. Wow. This bag is looking better to me all the time

I have to say, that I also have traveled with this bag and find it great.
The total available dimensions for carry on...are a finite number, however I suspect this bag with its outer "pouche" seems to defy most measuring eyes.
I found it very well made with excellent zippers. There is just nothing I can say to detract from this bag.

i might have to think about getting one, i am looking to pack all my gear including fins onto a carry on so i don't have to deal with checked bags etc. so you were able to fit two sets of gear correct. was that it or were you able to get some clothes and toileties in there as well??

Well I guess that depends on your defintion of completes sets. We packed the two BC's, two reg setups and both our wrist computers. It took some time to get it just right and make it all fit.

two full set? not here...
One Mares Dragon BC, mask, snorkel, .5 wetsuit, wrist computer, reg, octo etc., boots, laptop, couple of books, save a dive kit, extra bits and pieces, NOT FINS, swimsuit, shorts, tshirt, meds. A few equipment manuals. Not a whole lot more.
