I doubt it was a huge secret before. (I think anyone who sews knows that one, you tend to spend some quality time with zippers.)

I've thought about getting a lock but how easy would it be for someone at the airport to have a master key besides the TSA people

Any lock is better than none (the TSA's are the only ones approved at this time) or just use zip ties as suggested by several others - anything to prevent quick access is the goal - b/c if someone cannot access yours quickly, the hope is that they let it pass and choose an easier target

Might As Well Throw Money Away

Can't remember how many of those TSA locks I have bought and had destroyed by the TSA!

Sometimes they put the cut lock in the luggage and sometimes they never return it.

Not worth the hassle!

I have also had the lock taken off and put in the bag.

Never could follow the logic on that one!

Haven't had any problems with the TSA locks yet, if they remove them, they have always put them back on .... so far!

I was just overseas and they unlocked it and put it back. My little green indicator was on when I got my luggage. There was no cutting as far as I know.
