You can fit all kinds of stuff in it.
yeah, pelican makes some really amazing stuff. on their website webcams, they threw one of their boxes off a water tower. The case held a long-stemmed wine glass which was remarkably untouched from the fall.

also i believe the carry-on size is 24x11x9 and about 25lbs or how much you can lift.
I also love the Peli's but this brings up an interisting question for me. Can you carry on a large hard case like that. I would personally have no problem checking it. But for the fact that I never check a camera always carry even if I need to put my cloths in the camera case.

Great suggestions guys, thanks. My camera is an Olympus 770SW, so a point and shoot with a housing. It doesn't take up a ton of room, but combine that with a set of doubles regs, a singles reg setup, a can light, 2 backup lights, and all of a sudden every inch of space counts. I am not going to do a pelican case because I am a wuss and they are heavy, but I'll check out the computer backpacks with the extra padding for sure.

I won't allow my regs, computer, camera etc. to be checked, gate or otherwise, and I work for an airline. I second the, padding not that necessary, idea if you keep them with you.

Blue Reef has a good double reg bag I use. It hold - two sets of regs, camera, strobe, computer, all wrapped in t-shirts
