I have this, and it's what I've seen from others, a standard padded regulator bag. If you're concerned about protection, you might consider Akona Deluxe Regulator Case AKB-655, Bags-Reg Bags, Akona, Akona Deluxe Regulator Case AKB-655 . I don't have the Akona bag, but it's stiffer casing might provide better protection.

I have the basic Akona, just enough room for my SP MK25, 7' Primary, 22" Secondary, and SPG.
A buddy of mine uses an old computer bag. The only think I don't like about it is his particular bag only opens like a portfolio. But there are plenty of computer bags around with plenty of padding that open up all the way and have plenty extra pockets. I will likely move to something like that. I suppose saltwater could be a problem with the zippers - but I don't know that "regulator bags" have any special consideration given to corroding zippers either. |

I have the ST bag (it came with my regulator). It's work well for me and provides sufficient padding. But then, I don't drop-kick my regs across the room in it either. It depends upon how abusive you are.

I've got the ST reg bag as well.
It's not a bad bag for the money. It would protect your regs from a standing height drop. They aren't quite as thick as the Akona. If your not too abusive with your gear, then the ST bag would probably be just fine. When traveling, I put my regs in my carry on bag. If your going to check in the regs, then something a little more resistant to abuse may be appropriate. |

If you're looking to carry more than one reg, you might consider somthing like the Akona AKB615. I have an older version of it and love it. It has comfortable backpack straps, is well padded and holds 2 regs. It also has enough room for other stuff that I use it as a carry on when my wife and I go on dive trips.
