Rolling gear bag
I always thought that these were dorkier than I need. (And I have the orange RipTide BC!) However, after going to Bonaire, and hauling my gear from the dock to the car to the dock and so forth, I think I want one in the future. Anyone have one that they love? Tell me about it.

I am getting the TUSA BP-2. My friend has it and loves it! I've seen it in action and I am just waiting to get my hands on mine! Check it out, and see what you think

I have to confess that I bought one at Walmart for less than $30. My reasons were 1. I am a cheapskate and 2. I didn't want one that screamed steal me. Some of the bags at the shop are great and I know the argument about "protecting your gear" but I carry my regs, mask, and comp in my carry on anyway and the bag I bought worked great.

Thanks for the input. That Tusa one looks solid, but are there any out there that are big enough for a Northern diver? I regularly have my 7mm wetsuit, and my super awesome orange RipTide BC. They take up a lot of space in my Tusa duffel bag, so carry-on size would not do. I'd like to get something that would fit all that with my fins etc.

I concur. My buddy got one with his Oceanic package, and he takes it on the boat with his stuff and his wife's! It's warm gear, so a 3mm and a shorty, but it holds 2 whole sets. Rugged, nice looking, and huge. I'd definatley recommend it for the amount of gear your carrying.

I have an Akona Evolution Roller Bag that I bought for my upcoming trip. It does me no good to have a really big bag because I'm restricted to 20 kilos (44 lbs) for checked bags (only one allowed) and 10 kilos (22 lbs) for carryon. I'm also allowed one personal bag. (hoping they'll let me get away with my backpack). They packed 47 lbs into this bag when they did the scuba lab tests. I won't be taking as much gear as they used for the test. I'll fill in space with t-shirts and shorts which weigh less, so I should make it. I have a Pelican Case for my camera gear that meets the 10 kilo requirement.
It seems that only flights headed to and from the US have the more generous baggage allowances :-( Here's a link for the bag I have: http://www.akona.com/product.php?product_id=112 Here's another link for a review on full-size bags: http://www.scubadiving.com/gear/bags/hot_wheels

I would not recommend the mares bag. It screams scuba gear but I knew that when I got it. The problem is the zipper doesn't move smoothly and after 2 trips the airlines have managed to knock off a bottom piece that makes it so it can stand upright. Check the linear dimensions of the bags, most exceed what is allowed by the airlines but I don't know how many people have ever been stopped.
