I know pelican makes some good cases, are any of you using them for things like your reg bag and if so what ones seem to work best? I'll probably be diving 2 regs and first stages and will have a 7' hose on the primary.

Any thoughts as to which might work best for that?

Ps, I had the samething saying slow down, larry you're a class act all the way.
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>I've got a Pelican case and yes it's high, but the thing is indestructable and I kind of thought something like that would be great for the regulator. Right now I have an Akona soft case that's ok, but I'd still think there's got to be something tougher.</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>The problem with Pelican is that they're so high priced that I don't want to buy it and discover my regs don't fit. I already know the second first stage won't fit in my Akona reg case now, don't want to do that again if you know what I mean.</DIV>

Storm Case make a nice hard plastic case. They're lighter than pelican cases, but still seem pretty tough.

Actually storm case are stronger and better designed than pelican case. We use them a lot in the fil industry for camera equipment. Great cases.

I haven't actually compared them side by side, but the Storm Case is very rugged looking, and seems to weigh less than Pelican. That's a plus in my book. Pelican cases are heavy before they're loaded with gear.

One of our local shops has both storm and pelican and the storm cases are much lighter and their latches are much easier to manipulate. If I were flying, I'd definately prefer the storm because of the weight issue.

Did you notice if their is any price difference between the two brands at your LDS? I think they're about the same, but I'm not sure.
