I have the older square Akona bag as well. This one looks bigger, but it wouldn't fit in the compartment for reg bags on my Akona roller bag (made specifically for the square one). It's a shame, because the square one is a tight fit for a long hose rig, and this one looks like it has more room.

Buy certain regs at ST and they toss in a snazzy dive flag reg bag! I needed a few bags, so I talked the wife into buying a bunch of regs for our doubles. The bags are pretty nice, not what you'd expect from a freebie.

Right. Do you know if the Akona Pro Reg Bag fits reg with a long hose? If not, then I'd probably have to get the square one...

I was going to suggest buying new regs at scubatoys and they'll give you a bag...it's not a bad deal and the bag is pretty nice. Otherwise, most bags will fit a long hose, you just coil it up.

Well, I said it fits in mine, and that this new one looks bigger. So I'm guessing yes. I've never seen one in person, though. so this is all a guess based on a little picture on my monitor.

Do most people use a reg bag? I just set my regs on top of everything in the dive bag.

It's not strictly necessary, but it's nice, and hey, it came with my main bag so I use it. Gives them a little extra protection, which is not a bad thing.

It can also be nice when I switch from bag to bag, however... I switch between a big rolling bag and an action packer tub quite a bit, and I can grab my regs, stored in the bag, toss them into the action packer, and I'm good to go without having to recoil hoses and such.
