I was in search of a mesh bag in a hurry on the cheap. I was looking around Gander Mountain and stumbled across a mesh duck decoy bag. A very simple but large bag (36" x ??) for $9.95. It is a very sturdy bag that is made for use around water. I haven't used it yet but it holds everything nicely and has 2 sturdy duffel type handles. I will repost post trip end of Jan with out it worked out.

I got from ST a few years back a bag that is actually a camera bag. It is soft sided, padded and has pockets all the way around. I put regs, masks and computer in the middle, lights and other stuff on the pockets. Fits in the overhead bend perfectly. I went in to ST with the same frame of mind, but good Larry happened upon alot of this great bag.

since i rarely check my scuba gear, always carry it on, i found wrapping my reg in my wetsuit does great protect. never had a problem with it and saves on space while packing.

I like this reg bag: DiveAeris.com - Scuba Diving Gear Bags - Deluxe Reg Bag Mares also made a similar one, but I think they have discontinued it. Tha Scubatoys bag is too thin, the first stage doesn't fit well in it, but I do have one. As for the boat bag, my wife has this: ScubaToys Mesh Back Pack Bag, Dive Bags, ScubaToys, ScubaToys Mesh Back Pack Bag and loves it, she stuffs everything in it. I have a generic mesh duffle that holds everything except my BC, which I just wear on to the boat and carry the duffle. Also, I don't usually take the reg bags on to the boat, just put the regs in the boat bag, and leave the reg bags in the hotel, so they don't get waterlogged for the trip home.

After many dive trips I have yet to use the reg bag that I have (Akona, and it is a nice one) as I carry my reg in my carry on luggage. As for a nice mesh, again the Akona mesh bag works well for me, it's heavy duty, it has the back-pack feature and you can fit a full set of dive gear in it. There are a few that look identical to it such as the XS scuba but I cant vouch for their quality.
