We use an akona mesh bag and just throw a regular dry bag with it.

I got a back pack bag. Much better than me trying to balance out 57.6 lbs of wet gear and not tilt into the water. Just gotta make sure not to put the fins in the back area.

I have a small boat (28') I have banned roller style bags. They take up too much room. I use a plain old mesh duffle. You know, the ones with the round ends that look like dive flags. The long zipper from end to end allows easy access. Maybe I am a little too rough on my regs. But, they just go in last, on top of my wetsuit. Why put them in a dry bag when they either have just been or soon will be, submerged in salt water for the next 3 hours?

Note; this bag is only carried from house to car to boat. If you are going through the airport, by all means, get a roller bag.

I have the ST bag and it will hold all my gear when dry, when wet it's just too much and I ripped one of the shoulder straps. So now I have the identical bag from another LDS here (yea I know I know, I should have bought from ST) and I just don't put my BCD in it wet or dry and it works well for me.

Bigg Budd, you weren't supposed to use it as a cooler for your brewskies. It's for your DIVE gear!

I have one. Love it. Dad loved it so much, he tried to steal it. Didn't work. He ordered one a few days ago ...

same here. if I don't take the drybag, then I just throw my towel/t-shirt up on the front of the boat in the cabin or something... of course I've left a few that way too.

I also use a very small 'otter box' to keep stuff like digital camera, cell phone, wallet, etc in my dive bag. keeps it dry. well worth the $10 bucks or so they cost.

Glad someone else found it worked well for that.

My thoughts as well. I would add however, if you do travel, still get a soft bag that you can fold up and take with you to use at your destination. Rollers and especially a hard bags are problematic even on larger boats.
I actully have a Tusa soft bag that cost me like 25 bucks. It is smaller than the the round end ones and not quite as sturdy but will fit a tropical set of gear (2 sets minus the BC's) and will fold up small enough to fit in glove compartment.
