I use an aeris soft duffel bag that folds up into it's own pocket when I'm not using it. This is great for taking with you on vacation and not using up a lot of room in your traveling luggage. It's big enough to hold all my gear, and will fit under the bench on even small six pack boats. Doesn't have any dry area to speak of, but I can always throw a dry bag in there if I want one.

I have an Akona mesh bag (the large one). It has plenty of room for all my gear including fins and backplate. Problem is carrying it. During my cruise I had to improvise carrying it like a backpack through the ship, and all over getting to the dive sites. It really sucked and I see a roller bag in the future. If I only have to carry it from a car to the boat it great, jsut not for long distances.

I use the backpack style mesh bag like the one below. It is large enough for my stuff and has zipper pockets inside. I use ziplock bags for anything I want to keep dry.

A friend used the kind with metal handles and it is very uncomfortable to carry.

Just get a regular mesh duffle bag for less than $25--no big deal.......can even rinse your equipment in it after a dive & hang it up to dry that nite.............

Just bought the Armor Amphibian #91 from ST today. They don't carry it, but Joe ordered it for me. They had to buy two, so there is one remaining. $70.

Very roomy. Thick rubberized mesh. The mesh is on top, not on the bottom where it is weakened by gear. All carrying straps encircle the bag; therefore, weight is supported by strapping, no the mesh. The bottom of the bag is is thick material, not mesh. it has padded shoulder straps. The zipper is U-shaped along the entire length of the bag; therefore, you don't have to dig down from the top to reach items at bottom, like a duffel bag. The bag is long enough for the longest fins. Roomy enough to store your dry suit, wetsuit, BCD. Also, includes a large dry bag to keep stuff dry.

I was after something light and smallish to take on the boat so I got the ST mesh backpack last month on a trip out to Dallas, but have not used it yet. Will be making a trip to Dive Haven quarry this weekend and next weekend is a boat trip out of Panama City Beach. However, I did practice a bit by stuffing all my gear into it and walking around with it, and it seems strong enough but not especially comfortable with all that weight in it. Got some strange looks from the wife and daughter (and the cats too). You would think they would be used to that sort of thing since I had just finished trying out the new Thermoprene wetsuits to see how they would feel with my BP&W.

Photo and Description

This is a BIG bag; but compresses easily when not filled. You can put your dry suit in it with all your gear. The dry bag is large enough so that you can store your "civilian: clothes in it, with dive gear in remainder of the bag when using as a boat bag.

The bag is solid and very well-built. If Joe hasn't sold the second bag, GET IT.

Forgot to mention, the mesh is made from thick line, not that flimsy crap that catches.
