Mesh Boat Bag

Just looking for something to carry my gear onto the boat with. Do you use ones with dry pockets, or not a big deal to have included. It would need to hold 1 set of gear, any ideas?

I have an XS Scuba roller mesh bag. It's one of the best things I've ever purchased for diving. When I go on my next trip, it will be rolled up in my travel gear bag.

It's large enough to hold all my gear, including my BP/W. I usually don't put that in my bag, but it has enough room to do that if I wanted to.

Well, I don't use a dry suit on trips, so the underwear stays at home. But when I do use my drysuit, the underwear is in a separate drybag anyway. And it doesn't go in my gear bag. In this part of the country we usually dive wet until about Oct.

Most any soft bag will do providing it is large enough to hold what you need. Just don't get a hard bag. Your bag will need to fold under a bench or otherwise be tucked away so as not to impede all the activities on deck.

Dry pockets are nice, but you may not be able to get everything in them you want. That is no big deal as you will end up with an expandable dry bag anyway.

So you can skip the dry pockets if you find a bag you like otherwise and just buy the dry bag now instead of later. You probably want a mesh bag large enough to hold your gear and the dry bag as well.

I have the Tilos Deluxe Mesh backpack/bag. Big enough for all of my stuff and has a nice zipper on the side.

I got the ST bag, but the built-in "dry bag" is a joke. More like a "less-damp bag". But it's a big bag, all my gear fits in it, even my XXL Brigade.
