On that note, has anybody had to pull the "this is my jacket/coat" card with a stew? I've got a mesh duffle that I'm going to stuff everything into for my carry on, and I'm afraid they're going to tell me to check it because of the BCD. Anybody threatened to wear the BCD on the plane as a jacket, since you're allowed one and it conforms to the anatomical requirements for one?
No, but i would sure love to see someone wearing a BCD on the plane. It would make my day

Maybe if someone asked about why you are wearing your BCD, you could reply "well, we are flying over water" and give them a meaningful look (as if it was a life vest.....)

Depends on where the plane is flying to.... if you were on the Houston to Bonaire flight I bet a lot of the other passengers would be saying to themselves, "Now why didn't I think of that!"

I'm taking the Houston to Bonaire flight this Friday evening.... hmmmm.....
